First US Patent for ECG Smart Bands Granted

November 05, 2019

Access Tech has been granted a US patent “Leadless electrocardiogram monitor” for its wearable ECG wristband pair technology. This is the first granted patent in a series of three patent applications that Access Tech has filed pertaining to this technology.

Two New US Patent Applications for ECG Smart Bands Filed

July 18, 2019

Access Tech has filed two new US patent applications (“Leadless ECG monitoring via fusion of DSP and analog signal conditioning techniques” and “Leadless ECG monitoring via electrode switching”) pertaining to its wearable ECG wristband pair technology. These patents essentially protect enhancements to the system architecture whereby fusion of digital signal processing (DSP) and analog signal conditioning techniques along with rapid electrode switching is proposed to enhance the quality of the acquired ECG signal.

Embedded System Development IRAP Project Kicks Off

May 01, 2019

Access Tech has embarked on an IRAP-supported R&D project to convert its tabletop multiparameter physiological monitoring prototype into a commercial grade device that will use microcontroller technology and run embedded code. This is a six-month project whereby Access Tech will be hiring external contractors and consultants to develop the desired hardware and software.

First US Patent for ECG Smart Bands Filed

March 14, 2019

Access Tech has filed a US patent application “Leadless electrocardiogram monitor” for its wearable ECG wristband pair technology. The bands are provided with electrodes that contact the skin to measure cardiac activity on either side of the heart. They then share this information wirelessly amongst themselves to continuously acquire and analyze high quality ECG waveform data.

Tabletop Multiparameter Device Prototype Successfully Developed

February 02, 2019

Access Tech has successfully developed the prototype for its tabletop multiparameter physiological monitor. The prototype acquires and analyzes ECG, pulse, and respiration waveform signals, and measures heart rate (HR), breathing rate (BR), HRV, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and blood pressure (BP) by virtue of biosensors like touch electrodes, nasal cannula, brachial cuff, and SpO2 finger clip.

This prototype has been developed by integrating Access Tech’s proprietary biosensors and analog interfaces with National Instruments (NI) myRIO module that runs NI’s LabVIEW software. A custom enclosure has also been designed and developed for this prototype. The prototype runs on a 12V rechargeable battery and streams all physiological data wirelessly to a laptop running a graphical user interface (GUI).
